What's the loan period for books borrowed at
UWCSEA East?
​
The default loan period for all borrowers of the Primary & Secondary Library is 2 weeks. There is no limit on the number of books that you can borrow.
We do request that you return the library books checked out under your account on time, so that other members of the UWCSEA community may enjoy them too.

Can I extend the due date for a book since I haven't finished reading it yet?
Yes, it is possible to renew a book. You have several options.

Option 1: Login to your library account at uwcsea.follettdestiny.com and renew your book under the "My Info" tab. (See the next section for more instructions).

Option 2: If you have forgotten your login details, you can email Library East at libraryeast@uwcsea.edu.sg and request to extend the loan period. Please include the book title, your name, and the 9 digit library barcode beginning with a "U" in your email.

Option 3: Visit the library to have the book renewed.
As some books have a long waitlist and teachers & students will need specific novels for learning purposes, we seek your understanding in the event that we are unable to extend your loan period.

If you would like to explore other borrowing options, the National Library Board (NLB) offers membership (paid or free) for locals, PRs and foreigners. You may explore the various membership options here.

To renew your books or check your loans:
1. Access the library catalog here: uwcsea.follettdestiny.com
2. Click the LOGIN button in the top-right corner of the screen.
3. Log in using your UWCSEA Google username (without the @ domain), and password. Parents who have a library account will have been assigned a username. (For parents who wish to register for a library account, please approach any of our friendly library staff in person at the libraries and show your UWCSEA ID).​

4. To check the titles loaned under your name or to renew your books, please click on the 'MY INFO' tab here:

5. You will see a list of items loaned out to you. Click on the grey 'Renew' button on the right to renew a title.
Note: You may only renew a title once. If you've hit the renewal limit, you'll receive a notice saying that your book cannot be renewed because of renewal policies. Please visit our library staff at the library counter to have your titles renewed then.
