RAMADAN KAREEM
Wishing all Muslim members of the UWCSEA community Ramadan Kareem!

During the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims will refrain from eating and drinking from dawn to dusk. Fasting is considered one of the 5 pillars of Islam and a commandment in the Quran, a holy book of messages and teachings from God, otherwise known as Allah.
To break their fast at sunset, Muslims often consume water and dates. Dates are rich in fibre, sugar, carbohydrates and vitamins such as potassium and magnesium, which makes them a perfect item for Muslims to break their fast.

If you would like to try a date, please approach our library staff at the counter!
